This place has a comfy atmosphere. The food is great as well as the service. The picture added is their open faced roast beef and mashed potatoes sandwich. We also had fried mushrooms and those were the best I had so far! My family and I will definitely be back!

The food was delicious! Well cooked and seasoned perfectly! The building is super cozy, a really nice lodge design, clean, and open in the back ( the doorway to the back seems a little tight for a wheelchair depending on style, but overall accessible). The chairs have silence tennis balls on the feet which reduces chair noise and a nice level of nackground music (not too loud, but not so soft it gets burried). Overall great food and great vibes! (Edit to add doorway photos for wheelchair reference)

Incredible home cooking. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've had in many years. The country fried steak was delicious, the breakfast all day was a great option, and all of the veggies were good. Don't miss the homemade desserts - lemon meringue pie, cherry pie, sooooo good!

We absolutely loved this restaurant. The entire ambiance of the place is really cool and makes you feel like you are actually visiting the Golden Girls. In fact, the woman at the front desk looks like a Golden Girl. The food was okay, the service was okay.

This is the kind of place that makes food like an average Southern grandma. Take that how you may, this is just the vibe I got here. The menu is small, and is typical American fare, and Southern comfort foods, made "home style." Nothing fancy, but much better than any of the fast food chains nearby, if that gives you any idea of what to expect here. The closest thing, that may be similar, in my opinion, would probably be Dinner Bell, if you've ever tried one of those, or maybe Cracker Barrel or Huddle House. It's a quaint atmosphere with a couple of small dining rooms in what seems to have been a log demo home, possibly, in the past. Hardwood floors, with wooden tables, chairs, booths, walls, and ceilings, are decorated with local TN, and UT Vols decor/memorabilia. It seems to be a family friendly, and family run type place. The type where all the family members are also employees. The employees may not all be family, I'm only assuming there, as it just seemed that way to me, so the service is that Southern hospitality, family next-door type, with a real down-home country flair and friendly vibe. Dinner wasn't bad. I'd say that, food-wise, if Cracker Barrel was a 6/10, then Golden Girls might be a 5/10, just with a smaller menu, a much more homey atmosphere, and much more personable service! Although I didn't get to try it when I was there, I hear that their breakfast is great, so I will try that at some point in the future, I'm sure! All that said, The "Club House," club sandwich tasted just like I made it at home, myself, which isn't a bad thing, and the dessert, though probably frozen if I had to guess, tasted good too. All in all, not bad, and I'd come back again, especially if I lived closer.
